SaintThis is the Michigan Theater where my family used to go to watch religious movies about the life of Pope Francis. It was one of the few times that my whole families interests were present a single experience, religion for my mom, a movie for me, theater food for my dad, and not speaking to each other for my sister. It was when all the worries or arguments my family was going through were put aside so we could be in a peaceful state for at least a bit. My family could enjoy at least one aspect of this experience even if the movie itself wasn't great.

10 RingsThis is the state theater that is near the Michigan theater down town. It was where I went to watch my First movie at a movie theater all on my own. Though it took about 16 years of convincing my parents to let me go by myself, I truly valued the experience and was able to go somewhere without worrying if it was fun for others that went with me. It was when I felt truly independent. Also the movie I went to watch, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, was amazing.

MooseThis is one of the first building I have ever seen in Ann Arbor. Though I was born here, I never fully experience my birth place due to me moving a lot until about about 7 years ago. Though I have never been to this place, it encouraged me to explore the rest of the city and see how different things were than the place I had been living in for 5 years, needless to say I was very aware of the differences. I do still miss my old city, but I learned to make the best out of my situation and eventually got very familiar and comfortable with where I was born and raised.

Big PapaThis was where my dad went to college. This is where he went to school, where he ate, where he lived to create a better life for not only himself but for his family, even if he didn't know it would include me. HE left everything behind to come to a country he didn't know very well and was challenged with learning a new language and culture than the one he grew up in. He faced some hard times whenever it came to making it, but he nevertheless stuck it out and made it so I could have a life full of opportunity. This place inspires me to be like my father, someone who sticks it out even if everything seems against them and doesn't give up, ever.
